Balloons by Tommy

Project Description:
Balloons by Tommy is a podcast that was created for a class project. The requirements were that it had to be a 3 to 5 minute instructional podcast filmed, edited, and posted online so that anyone with the correct link (the instructor) could open iTunes and subscribe to that podcast. This was the first podcast that I have creaded and a great learning experience. I decided to use balloon artist Tommy to help me with this one since as I had worked with him previously and knew he would give me a little more creative freedom. Before meeting with Tommy, I storyboarded a few shots so I could show him what I had planned and what it was that he was going to be making. He had never made his balloon decorations while explaining how to do so and that became a scripting challenge the day of the shoot. Unsure if this would become an ongoing thing we made the podcast as though there were previous ones as well as more to come in the future. We ran through it a few times to get the wording right and after that things went smoothly.

This project was shot using a Panasonic DVX100, a Lowell Light kit, and a wireless lavalier microphone then edited in Final Cut Pro with the beginning title sequence done in Photoshop and Aftereffects.
